Exploring business ownership can feel overwhelming — especially when franchising is new to you.
My role is to make the process clearer, not harder.
Here’s how the referral process typically works.
Step 1: Initial Conversation
We start with a simple, low-pressure conversation.
The goal is to understand:
- Your background and experience
- Why you’re considering ownership
- What you’re looking for (and what you’re not)
- Whether staffing ownership makes sense at all
This is not a commitment — just a conversation.
Step 2: Education & Alignment
If staffing ownership looks worth exploring, we talk through:
- How staffing franchise models work
- Differences between various staffing niches
- What franchisors look for in candidates
- Common misconceptions and mistakes
At this stage, many people realize staffing isn’t the right fit — and that’s a good outcome too.
Step 3: Referral to Franchisors (Only If There’s a Potential Fit)
When there appears to be alignment, I make introductions to staffing franchisors that may be worth exploring.
Important to know:
- Referrals are based on fit, not pressure
- You control how far you go in the process
- Franchisors run their own evaluation and approval process
- You can step away at any time
There is no obligation to move forward.
Step 4: Franchisor Process & Due Diligence
From there, the franchisor guides you through their process, which may include:
- Introductory calls
- Discovery days
- Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) review
- Validation with existing franchisees
I stay available as a resource, but the decision — and relationship — is ultimately between you and the franchisor.
Step 5: Decision Time
Some candidates move forward.
Some decide to wait.
Some choose a different path entirely.
All of those outcomes are fine.
The goal isn’t to “do a deal.” The goal is to make a confident, informed decision.
Final Thought
Staffing franchises aren’t right for everyone — and they shouldn’t be.
A structured referral process helps you explore the opportunity thoughtfully, without pressure, and with a clear understanding of what ownership actually looks like.
If you’re curious but cautious, that’s exactly the right place to start.
